Beginnings
James B. Carter opens his manufacturing business in Winnipeg, Canada. Over the years, Carter invests heavily in acquisitions, research, and equipment that leads to an expansion of heating products aimed at keeping cars starting on cold Canadian mornings.

Phillips Manufacturing Company
In Minneapolis, Minnesota, Phillips Moses starts his own manufacturing and sales company. In 1945, company is acquired and renamed the Phillips Manufacturing Company. Overtime, the Phillips product line expands to include engine heaters and related heating products registered under the Zerostart product brand name.

Merging
The merging of the two companies begins in 1961 under the Phillips & Temro Industries company name. Today both Zerostart and Temro brands are active and highly recognized in the U.S. and Canada. James B. Carter renames company to Carter Temro Ltd. and eventually, Temro name was registered and used as the product brand name.

Zerostart /Temro launches new Forced Flow Circulation Heater for diesel and natural gas genset applications. UL & CSA certified, ensures generator is at optimal starting temperature and ready to accept load with uniform heat distribution. UL & CSA certified versions of the Industrial Circulation Tank Heater are also released.
